Stretch Shirt Fabrics 101

Stretch fabrics are very popular at Woodies.

And have steadily gained more traction. In past surveys from Woodies a staggering 18% of respondents requested more stretch fabrics with both shirting fabric and chinos.

At Woodies, our stretch fabric is usually 97% cotton and 3% lycra or 98% cotton and 2% lycra.

Why Stretch Fabric? 

Stretch fabric is popular for, you guessed it, stretch! While traditional 100% cotton shirts can at times feel constraining, especially when moving side to side, stretch fabrics alleviate some of that constraint.

Another reason guys love stretch, is that it can make tighter, more fitted shirts more comfortable.
