Searching For the Perfect Pants? I Found Them!
I was looking for the right pants for me for quite some time. I tried several types of jeans but there were either uncomfortable – I couldn’t do the moves I want to do – or doesn’t fit me – my waste and my thigh don’t seem to fit the same jeans- or both. I didn’t think to be a chino type. I want to wear my pants all day long and chinos just don’t seem to be the right choice. So whenever I could I chose my sweatpants, didn’t care much about the style and went with comfort.
Then some day, searching the internet for new pants I found Woodies. They recently finished a successfully Kickstarter campaign called the ultimate performance chino. They got my attention.
I checked the website: They looked very good, had double stretch (which after I really know what it means, every pant should have) and quick dry, therefore they claimed you can wear them at any occasion (which turned out to be true) and they guaranteed perfect fit. And even living in Germany I decided to order my first pair – best decision ever.
After choosing the color, the thing I was worried most about started: the sizing. I thought if they want to guarantee perfect fit you have to measure every inch of your body correctly. Turns out, it was a quite simple process. After answering a few general questions, like your height and weight and which general style you like most, Woodies got a pretty solid size profile of you. You can verify that profile taking a few measurements yourself, but honestly I pretty much measured what Woodies was suggesting. Pretty impressive. And even you did some things wrong and the pants don’t fit in the way you want them to, Woodies will correct them for you.
I thought if they want to guarantee perfect fit you have to measure every inch of your body correctly. Turns out, it was a quite simple process.
Afterwards you can choose a few style options to really get the pants fit your style and the order is ready to go.
After the pants arrived I was eager to put them on. The fit was perfect. The waist was really good. It was tight enough, so I didn’t need to wear a belt and at the same time loose enough to feel very comfortable. Also the length was perfect. The thing I was most impressed was the how good the pants looked around my thigh. That is the area where most of my pants fail, but the woodies again were loose enough to feel very comfortable but at the same time slim enough to look really good. I just couldn’t believe it. How was it possible to get me perfect fitting pants with just a few questions and nobody else can achieve that even with multiple sizes at store. So I was really happy with the fit and they also looked and maybe even more important they felt very good. The fabric feels very soft, but at the same time is robust enough for almost every task.
The next day I decided to wear my new pants at work. I go to work by bike and that was the first challenge for my new chinos. Most of my pants don’t feel good on the bike, but the performance chinos performed. Due to the smart stretch it felt like wearing sports pants. The cool thing though is, I didn’t need to change. I got the perfect office look, with the comfort and abilities of high-tech sport pants. That’s what pants should be like. I felt in love with my new pants after the first day.
The impression of the first day stayed and after getting a second pair shortly after, I almost wear the performance pants every day. They are the perfect pants for my business look, but they are also so comfy that I’m wearing them after work while meeting friends and even at home chilling (instead of wearing my sweatpants). The easy care feature (wrinkle-less) made it really easy to look great even after wearing them a few days or while traveling. Also you just wash the chinos and hang them dry and you are ready to go. The stain repellent meanwhile saved me a few times spilling a drink after work and just go to the bathroom, wash it off and just look awesome again.
They are also so comfy that I’m wearing them after work while meeting friends and even at home chilling (instead of wearing my sweatpants).
But the fact that really made these paints unique is, the slogan ‘Pants fit for the office but made for adventure’ is really true. I wear my performance chinos during my vacations doing a lot of different adventures which normally request different types of clothes. I got hiking (even a couple of times in snow), bouldering, going to the beach, racing kart and so on. I was skeptical at first but the performance chinos mastered all the tasks.
