Single-button Barrel – This is the most versatile cuff. The majority of shirts are single barrel.

Double-button Mitered – This cuff is a little more contemporary. Recommended for guys that are fashion forward.

French – The dressier option. These cuffs are worn with cufflinks. Definite recommendation for anything formal.

Mostly a matter of preference. Generally, the more casual a shirt is, the more common a pocket will be. We would not recommend a pocket on a more formal shirt

Adding darts to the back of the shirt helps remove any excess fabric. It creates a more modern and slim silhouette. For most guys we do not recommend darts.

Do you wear a watch? If so, you might want to select your respective watch wrist (left or right). We add an additional .35” to your selected watch cuff.

By default dressier shirts have a standard 2.5” spacing between the top and second button, because these shirts are typically worn with a tie. Casual shirts are typically worn unbuttoned and therefore the spacing between the top and second button is 3.25” giving the shirt a more relaxed look. However, you can select whichever spacing you’d prefer for any shirt you order (is desired).

luxurious fabric, great fit but a bit too expensive when ordering from EU

After three iterations, Woodies has finally made a shirt that fits me perfectly. I was looking for a shirt that accommodates my broad shoulders and back while fitting my slim waist. Off-the-rack shirts are usually either too tight or too loose, with excessive fabric around the waist. If you have a similar body type, I recommend selecting the 'darts' option for a more fitted look. The customer service is phenomenal; they were very helpful in finding the perfect fit for me. Being made from pure cotton, this shirt feels different on the skin compared to the 'performance' shirts made from polyester, which are soft, wrinkle-resistant, and can be simply hung to dry. While this cotton shirt is designed to adjust with your body heat and thus doesn't require ironing, I prefer to iron it for sharp creases. The fabric has a luxurious texture compared to Woodies' performance shirts. If you're deciding between pure cotton and performance shirts, here's a quick comparison: Polyester (performance): Stretchy, wrinkle-resistant, soft, warmer in summer, may cause faster sweating. Cotton: Doesn't stretch, may lose its look after many washes, breathes better, feels more natural on the skin (personal preference). Production and delivery were fast; I received the package in Belgium within ten days of ordering. Note for customers in continental Europe: Be aware of extra costs for customs, duties, and DHL handling, which can make the final price comparable to a locally tailored shirt. Suggestions for Woodies: - It would be easier to shop if the size profile could also be done in the metric system, not just in inches. - Consider adding a 'double ply' option for cuffs with holes for cufflinks. - An option for a blend of cotton and hemp would improve fabric durability and make it lighter for summer days.

Well Done!

I was quite pleased with my first order from Woodies. I have an unusually large neck and finding shirts that fit my neck AND the rest of my body has been quite difficult. Getting my size into the system was surprisingly easy with the help of their support system. My first ordered shirt arrived amazingly fast (less than two weeks!) and the shirt fit exceptionally well. I may adjust the neck size a bit larger on my next order, but the tailored fit of the shirt was otherwise excellent. If you need a custom sized shirt, Woodies definitely delivers.
